Minister Mary Fair-Matthews, Associate Minister
 

Mary Fair-Matthews was born in Weir, Mississippi to Andrew and Ida Mae Fair.  Mary graduated from Ethel High School in Ethel, Mississippi as salutatorian of her class.  She received a Bachelor of Science from Jackson State University in Industrial Technology / Management.  In May 1999, she received her Juris Doctorate from Wayne State University.  
In 2000, Mary received her called to the ministry while attending the Church of the Living God, Temple #69 in Detroit, Michigan.  Mary preached her first sermon in October, 2000.  Shortly thereafter, Mary joined Grace Out-Reach Ministry and out-reach arm of Church of the Living God.  Mary was ordained in July 2001.  She was a member of the ministerial staff where she taught Sunday School, Bible Study and at the prison ministry for adolescent males in a secure facility.  Mary became a member of Second Missionary Baptist Church in October 2009 and serves in the Ministerial Ministry, the Sisterhood, and Vice Chair of the Christian Education Ministry.
Mary joined the Kellogg Company as a senior attorney in June 2005.  She was promoted to counsel in September 2006.  Mary has served as corporate counsel, Kellogg Company since September 2008 and has been a member of the labor and employment team since June 2005.   
Mary is a member of the Michigan Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association for the Eastern District of Michigan, the American Bar Association and the National Employment Law Council.  She is also admitted to practice before the Sixth Circuit. 
Mary and her husband of 22 years, Reginald, reside in Battle Creek, Michigan, with their son Reginald, Jr.
